10 Most Economically Powerful Cities
A list of the 10 most economically powerful cities in the world, compiled by Forbes, does not include the energy capital of the world, namely H-Town. What was Forbes thinking?
Nonetheless, for those of you who want to know anyway, London came out on top. The cities were ranked according to a mix of metrics such as GDP, growth rate, population and purchasing power.
Rankings included data from such notables as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, which measures gross domestic product by urban center; MasterCard, which has a commerce index; and UBS, which measures living expenses and earnings by city.
The cities are, in decending order (drum roll, please), London, Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo, Chicago, Seoul, Paris, Los Angeles, Shanghai and Toronto.
Please direct any questions, comments and indignant foul language to Forbes.
