S&P: Revised Oil Price Deck
On June 11, Standard & Poor’s Rating Services revised its price oil assumption for the remainder of 2009 to $45 per barrel of oil equivalent, up from the previous $40 per BOE. At the time, the WTI Cushing spot price was $72.68 per barrel.
“We have not changed our oil price deck assumptions for 2010 and beyond, nor any of our natural gas price assumptions,” reports the firm.
“We believe the recent rally in oil prices reflects improved investor sentiment for the global economic outlook, as well as recent actions by leading oil-producing nations to reign in supply,” said S&P credit analyst, Thomas Watters.
