Each month online at OilandGasInvestor.com, one company will be featured for its corporate citizenship. I decided to start this feature because many companies are contributing both to non-profit organizations and individuals within their organization in need, yet these energy companies are rarely acknowledged. They are heroes to non-profits and NGOs worldwide. The first company to be featured as a Corporate Citizen is StatoilHydro, which just signed an agreement with Houston Dynamo to be the presenting sponsor of their youth and player development system. In addition to community involvement in the U.S., the Norwegian-based company manages several international sustainability programs. To nominate a company for Corporate Citizen recognition, e-mail me at lgoodier@hartenergy.com with a short description of the company's efforts.
